What is Device Registration?
Device registration is a security feature that helps protect your online banking account. When you register a device, the system recognizes it for future logins. Registered devices allow you to skip the Secure Access Code and log in using just your Login ID, password, or biometrics. This process helps keep your online banking account secure while making access more convenient.
If you ever receive a "Device/Browser Registered" security alert, it means a computer or browser was registered using your Login ID. If you or an authorized signer did not register this device or browser, please contact us right away during business hours at 866.931.0850 or visit nbkc.com/contact for additional options.
Removing a Registered Device
If you need to remove a registered device please follow the steps below depending on your device. Please note that clearing a registered device will require you to verify the device with a Secure Access Code on your next online banking sign-in. It's recommended to use SMS/Text message delivery for this passcode.
Browser Registration (Chrome, Safari, Edge)
To remove a device from being registered simply go to your device/browser and delete the cookies and cache. This will clear out the information to say this device is allowed to log in.
Mobile App Device Registration
To remove your registered Smartphone or Tablet delete the nbkc Mobile App and re-install it. This will remove it from your registered devices.
If you re-install the nbkc Mobile App and get a message that you need to log out from your old registered device first, please contact our Customer Experience team for assistance. Call 866.931.0850 during normal business hours to speak with a Customer Experience Specialist who can help.
Removing All Registered Devices
If you would like to remove all registered devices give us a call at 866.931.0850. One of our Bankers will remove all registered devices for you. Note that this will reset registrations for all devices associated with your account, not just a single device.
