While our goal is to approve and process your Mobile Deposits quickly, there are some circumstances where we are not able to accept the deposit. These are common reasons why a mobile deposit may be rejected.

Endorsement needs Signature & "For Mobile Deposit at nbkc only"
- Sign the back of the check and write "For Mobile Deposit at nbkc only" under the endorsement.
- If you are a business write the name of your business on the back of the check and write "For Mobile Deposit at nbkc only" under the endorsement.

Payee Missing or Mismatch
- There is no payee listed on the check. Contact the individual or company that issued the check to complete the payee section.
- The names on the check do not match the account holder(s). If a check is made out to multiple people, all payees must be listed as account holders.

Post Dated
- The deposited check was dated for a future date. Try to re-deposit the check on the date listed.

Stale Dated
- The check being deposited is older than 6 months or the check has a specific void date.

Missing Date
- The check deposited is missing a date. You will want to contact the issuer to complete the date section of the check.

Numeric and Written Amounts Don't Match
- If there is a discrepancy the bank can only legally go by the written amount.

Foreign Currency
- The check is in a foreign currency. We do not accept checks in foreign currency through Mobile Deposit.
If your mobile deposit was rejected, here's what you can do:
- Review the endorsement on your check to ensure it includes your signature and "For Mobile Deposit at nbkc only"
- Check that all payee names on the check match the account holders on your account
- Be prepared to provide additional documentation about the check if requested
