What Tax Forms does nbkc mail out?
By January 31st each year, the bank will send all:
1099-INT To report interest earned on Deposit Accounts.
1099-R To report IRA Distributions.
1099-SA To report HSA Distributions.
1098 - Mortgage Interest Statement.
By May 31st each year, the bank will send all:
5498 & 5498-SA To report IRA and HSA Contributions.
What is a 1099-INT?
1099-INT's are issued to any customer who earns more than $10.00 in interest during the calendar year. The interest included in the 1099-INT is the aggregate of all interest obtained across nbkc Accounts and any Fintech Program Account.
To view it, go to Statements and Documents, use the "select an account" dropdown to choose the account, and select the statement titled 1099INT.
If I have eStatements, will I still receive my 1099 in the mail?
If your account statements are set to eStatement, you will not receive your 1099 by mail. Instead, your 1099 is made available electronically in online banking under Statements and Documents.
My 1099-INT is missing accounts
Tax Forms are printed front/back. Each account reported to the Tax ID is separated with the total of interest earned on all accounts.
All Accounts are reported under the primary account holder's Tax ID.
Who is nbkc bank and why did I get a tax form from you?
nbkc bank offers Deposit Accounts and Home Loans. Additionally, we provide the banking infrastructure for several Fintech partnerships. This means that while you may not have a direct account with nbkc, you could have an account with one of our Fintech partners, such as Bella Loves Me, Empower, Gusto, Spiral, Tend, or Starship.
I've never had an account with nbkc.
If you have an account with any of our Fintech partners, you will receive a 1099-INT tax form from nbkc bank if your account earned more than $10.00 in interest. Our role is to support these Fintech companies by offering the necessary banking services for their financial products. We partner with the following Fintechs: Bella Loves Me, Empower, Gusto, Spiral, Tend, and Starship.
I have an error on my 1099.

How can I access my tax documents?
Log into your online banking and access the eStatements or Statements and Documents tab to view available tax forms (such as 1099s and 1098s).
If you receive an error such as "We are unable to download your document. Please try again later or call customer service," you can request that we send your Form 1098 or other tax documents electronically to your registered email address, or contact customer support for assistance.
If you maintain an active account, year-end tax forms (such as Form 1098) will be available by the end of the month, and a paper copy will also be mailed to the address on file unless you are enrolled in eStatements.

How can I obtain monthly statements and tax documents for a closed account?
For closed accounts, contact customer support by phone at 866.931.0850, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm CST. We'll verify your information and provide the requested past statements or tax documents.
Why didn't I receive a tax form?
There are a few common reasons -
Your deposit account did not earn more than $10.00 in interest with nbkc bank or a Fintech Partnership Account during the calendar year.
1099's are mailed to the primary account holder. If you are a joint owner or signer, please check with the primary account holder for any 1099 information.
If your statements are set to eStatement, you will not receive your 1099 by mail; it will be available online through your account.
Where was my Tax Form mailed?
Tax forms are mailed to the primary account holder's address on file. If you have moved recently please contact us or the Fintech Partner where your account is held to update your address information.
When are Tax Forms mailed?
- nbkc typically mails Tax Forms via USPS by January 31st. It can take 7-10 business days to receive it in the mail.
5498's for IRA and HSA Contributions are mailed by May 31st.
Can you email/fax me a copy of my Tax Statement?
If you are an nbkc Account Holder we can send you a copy of your tax statement before the end of the business day, either electronically to your registered email address or by mail.
If you are an Account Holder with one of our Fintech Partners, we can only send Tax Statements via USPS.
Is my 1099 available online?

How can I obtain tax documents from previous years?
First, check your online banking under the eStatements or Statements and Documents tab to see if older tax forms or statements are available for download.
If the documents you need are not available online, contact our customer support team. We can help you request tax documents and past monthly statements from previous years and email them to your registered email address or arrange to have them printed and mailed after verifying your information. This typically takes about one business day to process.
