You can now send money directly from your account using Zelle®, making it easier than ever to pay friends, family, and people you trust.
With Zelle®, money is sent directly between bank accounts, typically within minutes when both parties are enrolled.
What is Zelle®?
Zelle® is a convenient way to send and receive money using just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number. There are no checks to write and no cash to carry.
Common uses include:
- Splitting dinner expenses
- Paying a babysitter
- Contributing to a group gift
- Reimbursing friends or family
- Sending money for shared expenses
How to Send Money
- Log in to nbkc Online Banking or nbkc Mobile Banking.
- Select Transfers & Payments.
- Select Zelle® from the menu.
- Choose Send.
- Select a recipient or add a new recipient using their email address or U.S. mobile number.
- Enter the amount you want to send.
- Review the details and submit your payment.
If the recipient is already enrolled with Zelle®, they can typically receive the money within minutes.
Before You Send
- Only send money to people you know and trust.
- Verify the recipient's email address or mobile number before sending.
- Once a payment is sent to an enrolled recipient, it generally cannot be canceled.
Request Money
- Log in to you nbkc online banking or nbkc mobile app.
- Select Transfers & Payments.
- Select Zelle® from the menu.
- Choose Request.
- Select an existing contact or enter the recipient's U.S. mobile phone number or email address.
- Enter the amount you're requesting.
- Add an optional note describing the request.
- Review the details and select Request.
The recipient will receive a notification with instructions on how to receive the payment.

There is no fee to send or receive money through Zelle®.*
How quickly will the recipient receive the money?
Money is typically available within minutes when both the sender and recipient are enrolled with Zelle®.
What information do I need to send money?
You only need the recipient's U.S. mobile phone number or email address.
Can I cancel a payment?
You can only cancel a payment if the recipient has not yet enrolled with Zelle®. Once the recipient is enrolled and the payment is delivered, the transaction cannot be canceled.
Is Zelle® secure?
Zelle® uses authentication and monitoring features provided through your financial institution's online and mobile banking channels to help protect your account.
