Setting up Samsung Pay is easy. Check out the steps below to set up your nbkc debit card in your Samsung Wallet.
Important: You must have received and activated your physical nbkc debit card before you can add it to Samsung Wallet. Virtual card numbers are not currently available, so you'll need your physical card number to get started.
Activate your mailed nbkc debit card by calling our automated activation line at 1‑800‑848‑4365. During that call, you can activate your card and set your PIN. If you have any trouble activating it, contact support for assistance.
To add a debit card to Samsung Wallet, you can either scan your card with your phone's camera or enter the information manually. The process will also include verifying your identity with your bank before the card can be used. In some cases, you may receive a text message asking you to confirm or deny a transaction or wallet addition—follow the instructions in the text (such as replying with a code or using your banking app) to approve it.
Add a debit card
- Open the Samsung Wallet app on your phone.
- Navigate to the Quick Access or All tab.
- Tap the plus (+) icon to add a new card.
- Select Payment cards and then Add credit or debit card.
- Align your card in the camera frame to automatically scan the card number and expiration date. If that doesn't work, tap Enter card manually to type the information yourself.
- Enter any remaining card details, such as the security code (CVV).
- Once the card is added, you may need to verify the card by calling 866.931.0850. An nbkc Banker will verify a few security questions and activate the digital card for you.
Troubleshooting activation issues
If you encounter any issues during activation, try the steps below:
- Make sure your physical card has been activated by calling 1‑800‑848‑4365 before attempting to add it to Samsung Wallet.
- If your phone number was recently updated, try activating your debit card again. Card activation may fail if the personal or contact information on file doesn't match what you enter, or if there are technical issues with the automated activation system. If this happens, please give us a call so we can review your details and make any necessary updates.
- If you see a generic error like "something went wrong" when adding your card, start by confirming that the card is active and works with other merchants. Next, double‑check that all card details are entered accurately. If the issue continues, contact us so we can review any potential restrictions, or you can reach out to Samsung Wallet support if additional assistance is needed.
- For security reasons, you cannot add another account owner's debit card to your mobile wallet. Each account holder must add their own card individually.
- If you receive a notification or text message stating that your card was added to a mobile wallet or used for a transaction without your authorization, do not approve it. Please contact customer service immediately at 866‑931‑0850.
