Learn how to set up or change your debit card PIN
To activate a new nbkc Debit Card, set up a PIN, or update your existing PIN:
Call the automated activation line at 800.848.4365.
Follow the automated prompts.
If you are activating a new card, you will be prompted to create a 4-digit PIN once activation is complete.
If you are resetting your PIN, the system will allow you to choose a new PIN; if you select your current PIN, it will simply confirm it.
Note: You cannot activate an nbkc debit card or set your PIN through online banking. Activation and PIN setup must be completed by phone.
When activating your card or setting your PIN, you should call from the phone number on file with the bank and have the following information ready:
- Full Debit Card Number
- Expiration Date
- CVV on the card
Be prepared to follow the system's instructions carefully, whether typing or speaking the information as requested.
Important PIN Information
- Your PIN does not come pre-printed with the card and must be set up during activation, or later by calling 800.848.4365.
- You must have a PIN to use your debit card at ATMs.
- For security reasons, you can only reset your PIN from the phone number registered on your account.
- If you weren't able to set a PIN during initial card activation, you can call 800.848.4365 again later to complete your PIN setup.
Business Debit Cards
To set up or reset a PIN for a business debit card, follow the same process by calling 800.848.4365 from the phone number associated with your business account.
Troubleshooting
If you're experiencing difficulties setting your PIN after multiple attempts, or if the system is unable to verify your information (such as your phone number or mailing address), please contact Customer Support at 866.931.0850. We can help resolve verification issues and reset PIN attempts.
