Excited to start giving? There is no need to enroll! The Giving Center is already activated in your nbkc Online Banking. You can find it in the left navigation menu or select Menu on the Mobile App.

How to Give to a New Charity

Donating to a charity is easy in the Giving Center! You can send funds to over 1.5 million registered 501(c)(3) organizations in the United States. You have the option to share your information with the nonprofit or keep your donation anonymous. The minimum donation amount is $5.

Here’s how to get started:

• Log in to your nbkc account.
• Navigate to the Giving Center from the left navigation menu or select Menu on the Mobile App.
• Click "Make a donation".
• Choose from the list of charities or use the search bar to find a non-profit organization that supports the cause you care about.
• Click "Give to this charity".
• Choose the account you would like to donate from (Checking, Money Market)
• Specify the amount you would like to donate.
• Review your donation and applicable fees.
  • You may choose to pay the fee within your donation amount or pay the fee in addition to your donation.
• Click “Yes, I confirm”.
• Donations may not be returned or refunded to you once submitted.

How to Search for a New Charity

Within the Giving Center, you will find charities highlighted in our curated categories.

Can’t find a charity you’re looking for? Use the search bar to search the name of the organization you’re looking for.

Here is a step-by-step guide: 

• Log in to your nbkc account.
• Navigate to the Giving Center from the left navigation menu.
• Click "Make a Donation".
• Click in the search bar to find a non-profit organization that supports the cause you care about.
• Search criteria can include:
  • Charity Name
  • City
• Select your chosen charity.
• Proceed with choosing your donation amount and complete the donation.
• Donations may not be returned or refunded to you once submitted.

What types of organizations can I donate to?

Only charities recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt on https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/

What if my charity is not listed?

Only charities the IRS recognizes as tax-exempt on https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/ and not supported  by Spiral or nbkc are listed in the Giving Center.

If a charity or non-profit you wish to donate to is not listed, and you think this organization should be qualified as a tax-exempt charity, please contact us to let us know.

When does the non-profit receive my donation?

Donation distributions for each nonprofit organization are processed on a monthly basis in alignment with Spiral Giving Network (SGN) Terms and Conditions. SGN grants to Qualifying Charities will be distributed via ACH or mailed check. It may take up to 60 days from the date of the Donor’s contribution to SGN for a grant to be distributed to a Qualifying Charity. You will receive a donation notification in the Giving Center once the donation has been received by the charity.

How do I receive a receipt for my donation?

Tax receipts are issued to donors by Spiral Giving Network immediately after a donation is made. A complete giving history and all receipts are always accessible in the Giving Center for your records.

Is there a minimum donation amount?

Donations must be a minimum of $5.

Can I cancel my donation?

Once a donation has been completed, the transaction cannot be canceled or refunded. Please ensure the transaction, organization, and account details are correct before confirming your donation.
